The Pima Association of Taxpayers (PAT) was founded in 1989
by a group of people who wanted to learn more about their
local governments by studying the budgets of taxing entities.
What they found in those budgets, and in the tax process,
inspired them to organize and pool their knowledge so they could speak out to government on an equal footing.

For over twenty years the Pima Association of Taxpayers has been working to provide accurate tax information to the taxpayers of Pima County and defending those taxpayers against government waste and unnecessary taxes.

The Pima Association of Taxpayers (PAT) is a nonprofit
corporation whose mission is education and knowledgeable
activism. PAT is non-partisan, non-tax deductible, and receives
no tax money. The officers and directors receive no reimbursement. It is an all volunteer association.
